What is Delta Oak Capital?

Delta Oak was started by the firm’s principal, Ken Saer, to find, acquire, and continue growing a single great company. Made up of a team of experienced entrepreneurs and investors, Delta Oak is committed to continuing your company’s legacy.

The firm’s name is a tribute to Ken’s maternal grandmother, who was born and raised on a farm in the Mississippi Delta. A teacher, lover of history, and avid outdoorswoman, she helped instill in Ken his passions for learning and adventure.

Meet the Principal

Ken Saer

Ken has had a passion for running businesses since he was 18 years old, when he started a landscaping and painting business. In college, he ran a business renting out queen and full-sized beds to students.

After getting his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, Ken joined the team at a growing due diligence research firm and worked his way up to Director of Business Development. He brought on new accounts and grew old ones, built client relationships, and managed cash flows for the work that he sold.

While getting his MBA at the University of Texas, Ken helped two different startups develop their sales strategies, find new customers, and improve their business operations.

Before launching Delta Oak, Ken helped start a waste management business serving multi-family apartment buildings.

In his free time, you can find Ken rock climbing, putting in miles on his mountain bike, or at home in Austin cooking good food and reading good books.
